Maclehose Book Covers

These book covers were my entry for the Maclehose Press (an impprint of Quercus) book cover competition, which were also shortlisted. The brief was to redesign the titles, giving them a strong identity throughout each title. I have used the 'horizon' line on each cover (which wraps around the book) to tie them together. I have used paper cut out style illustrations to give each cover an abstract quality, with imagery which hints at themes within the book. The typography used on the front cover is unique to each book, and also relates to themes within the novels.
